Maturing Mobile Ad Market

Have you ever been shopping in a store an saw an ad with a call to action that prompted you to do something. For instance, I recall shopping in the Tucson Mall one day and we were at a clothing store where an ad said text some word to their short code and receive an instance 10% off your purchase. Guess what? It worked. My daughter was buying something, well maybe it was me, but either way, we saved 10% on that purchase. The bigger picture here is that now they can send special offers to her mobile phone via text. If you are a retailer, this is huge for you. If you want to build a list of subscribers, offer them an incentive while they are shopping in your store!

There are so many ways to use mobile marketing to your advantage.

According to March 2012 research from Google, conducted by Ipsos MediaCT andTNS Infratest, 43% of smartphone owners used their device to search in response to television ads at least monthly. Nearly as many, 40%, searched in response to ads they saw in stores.
